Our Mission:

A Capital Sound is an a cappella, four-part harmony chorus, arising from the barbershop tradition, that provides an inclusive and creative space to empower all women through friendship, education and the joy of singing.

Our Vision:

We aspire to unite in joyful harmony, to achieve excellence in our craft, and to demonstrate the transformative power of music for all.

We welcome all women who love to sing to join us! No music-reading experience is required, just a love for singing. We provide learning tracks (audio files) to help you master the notes, rhythm, and lyrics, along with sheet music for support. You will be encouraged to liberate and embrace your dramatic side, and we will guide you along the way.

We rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings 7:00 – 9:30pm, at City View United Church, 6 Epworth Avenue, Nepean. If you’d like to check us out, simply drop into a rehearsal.

The joy of performing for our community and the excitement of competing in contests is all part of the fun.
